The section of Johns Creek being cleaned runs from
Raskarity Lake (Off Brookwood Rd) to McGinnis Ferry Road.
We have divided the creek into three neighborhood adjacent sections and a fourth more difficult section.
We need people in each of the 3 neighborhood adjacent sections become a participant in the cleanup effort.
If you participate please log on to our web site and let us know what your interest is and what you are doing help with the cleanup. Rivers Alive will be posting state wide cleanup results on Google Earth.
We hope most creekside residents will pitch in and help us have the nicest looking, cleanest creek in the state.
Section 4 is the difficult section.
You can see the dirt road running through it. It has been used as a dumping ground and has tires, appliances and more dumped there.
There have been several unsuccessful attempts to block the road with a gate but it keeps getting broken down.
If anyone with a pickup truck and a strong back wants to help organize and clean this section we will be happy to assist.
