Raskarity Lake is spring fed, protected from subdivision runoff and it's water quality is monitored regularly. The fish and other aquatic life are healthy.
Deer Lake looked like Raskarity Lake 10 years ago. Now it has been converted into a subdivision run off retention pond. The lake has died.
If you view lakes around this area on Google Earth you can see all the healthy lakes and the ones that have been converted into runoff retention ponds.
